How can I share my folders/papers in the reference manager?

Paperguide's Reference Manager allows you to share folders and collaborate with others by assigning specific roles and permissions.

  1. Open the Reference Manager:

    • From the dashboard, navigate to the References menu.
  2. Select the Folder:

    • Choose the folder you want to share from your list of folders.
  3. Click on Share Folder:

    • Click on the three-dot icon next to the folder name.

    • Then, click on Share Folder button from the dropdown list.

  4. Enter Email Addresses:

    • In the share window, you can invite members by entering their email addresses.

    • You can also invite non-Paperguide users to access the shared folder. Once they receive the invitation, they can easily register for Paperguide to view or access the shared folder.

  5. Assign Permissions:

    Choose the appropriate permission for each member:

    • Can View: Allows the member to only view the folder and its papers along with notes.

    • Can Add Notes: Grants viewing access and the ability to add notes to the papers.

    • Can Edit: Full access to view, edit, add notes, and modify papers in the folder.

  6. Send Invitation:

    • After assigning permissions, click Send Invite. The invited members will receive an email notification with a link to access the folder.
