Save Papers from the Web with the Chrome Extension
Add papers and web pages to your Reference Manager from any site, with their PDF and citation details.
Overview
The Paperguide Chrome extension saves the paper or page you're reading straight to your Reference Manager. There's no need to download a PDF or type in citation details. It works on journals, publisher sites, PubMed, arXiv, Google Scholar, repositories, blogs and news sites.
Save the page you're reading
Open the paper or page
Go to the article, research paper or web page you want to save.
Click Add to My References
Click the Paperguide icon in your browser toolbar, then click Add to My References.
Choose a folder
Pick the folder the reference should go in. It's saved to your current workspace.
What gets saved
- The full-text PDF, when the page has one.
- The web page itself, for sources that aren't PDFs, such as blog posts and news articles.
- Citation details, such as title, authors, journal, year and DOI.
Once a PDF is saved, Paperguide indexes it so you can chat with it and use it in other tools. See Check that a PDF is ready for AI features.
Save from buttons on research sites
On popular research databases and publisher sites, the extension adds Paperguide buttons to the page. Click one to save a paper, or add it to a folder, without opening the extension.
